Zoloft, Topamax, and Birth Defects

What do Zoloft and Topamax have in common?  They're both widely prescribed to women of childbearing age, and they are both associated with certain types of birth defects.  Several women have contacted me recently who believe their childrens' birth defects may have been caused by Zoloft or Topamax.  I'm in the process of reviewing their potential cases right now, and have been shocked to learn just how serious a cleft palate or a cleft lip can be.  I had always assumed both types of injuries were purely cosmetic and didn't carry any serious risks with them.  Turns out I was wrong.  Both types of injuries can be life-threatening if untreated.  And treatment (of course) is very expensive. If you have been considering contacting a Topamax lawyer or a Zoloft lawyer, feel free to e-mail me at justinian@justinian.us.  I'd be happy to evaluate your potential case as well.
