Another asbestos scare

You never know where asbestos is going to rear its ugly head.  Now it closed a post office.

MARYLAND HEIGHTS — A U.S. post office near West Port Plaza closed Friday after a St. Louis County health inspector suspected that asbestos had been released during renovation of an adjoining office.

The post office is at 2002 Congressional Drive, southeast of Craig and Lackland roads. Loretta Tolliver, a regional manager of customer relations, said the Postal Service had hired a specialist to examine the air quality.
